Each issue of mono.kultur is dedicated to one interview with a creative type. The dimensions remain the same every time, but the design and finishing is completely rethought to reflect the issues's subject.

In this anniversary issue (the first for three years) the focus is on musician/designer/film director Mike Mills. The issue is split into three parts, a structure reflected in the cleverly folded binding that links together three separate sections into one publication.

Each of the sections looks at a different part of Mills' career: first, a Zoom conversation between Mills and Norwegian film director Joachim Trier sees the two exchanging notes on their current movie projects. Then Dutch graphic designers Experimental Jetset talk with Mills about his graphic design work, before a conversation between Mills and musician-friend Feist opens up his music and prodcution work.
