Strömquist, Liv
Liv Strömquist (Lund, 1978) és una de les dibuixants de còmics més prestigioses d'Europa, a banda d'una coneguda locutora de ràdio i televisió. Va estudiar Ciències Polítiques i va debutar el 2005 amb Hundra procent fett. És una ferma activista del feminisme. Altres obres seves són El fruto prohibido (2018), Los sentimientos del Príncipe Carlos (2019) i No siento nada (2021), publicades per Reservoir Books. El 2016 va ser nomenada doctora honoris causa per la Universitat de Malmö. Actualment treballa per al Swedish Arts Council. L'Editorial Finestres n'ha publicat també Dins la sala dels miralls (2022) i Astrologia lleugera (2023).

In this feminist graphic novel, Swedish cartoonist Liv Strömquist calls out how genitalia-obsessed men have stigmatized women's bodies, denied their sexuality, created a dubious gender binary, and much more. Her biting, informed commentary explores history and taboos from the darkest chapters (the Salem witch trials) to the lightest (when menstrual blood was used as a love potion). Like humorists Alison Bechdel (Dykes to Watch Out For), and Kate Beaton (Hark! A Vagrant), Strömquist uses the comics medium to reveal uncomfortable truths about how far we haven't come.
