Copublished by Vleeshal and Dent-De-Leone, Sample Book provides deep insight into the period of artistic production between 2020 and 2021 that led to her exhibition at Vleeshal, small wares. The book brings together a selection of essays, an interview, a shape poem and a short story, which together chart how Katie Schwab's research into Dutch darning samplers as well as processes of repair in textiles and civic architecture came to underpin a dynamic new body of sculptural works.
