The Anatomy of Light - Anatomía de la luz
The Anatomy of Light - Anatomía de la luz
The name Marset has been associated with light for generations.
Each one has contributed its own perspective and, over time, this vision has been enriched, becoming a fusion of different approaches, ideas and ways of interpreting light.
In a similar way, the aim of this book is to explore the phenomenon of light from all angles, showing its different facets according to the eye contemplating it and the form surrounding it.
Anatomy, from the Greek word anatomé, means dissection.
And that's the idea; to explore and separate all the parts in order to examine them more closely and achieve a broader, more detailed and personal view of the whole.
That's why this isn't just a book by Marset but a book that exists thanks to many different perspectives. The Anatomy of Light' is a collaborative, multifaceted and, above all, luminous work that has been created to be read and enjoyed more than once.
Although the main protagonist is light, it's professionals from different fields who give it a voice. Some, as would be expected, are prominent figures in the world of design and interior design but our reading wouldn't be complete without other kinds of people who explore the very nature of light from other disciplines.
Thinkers, creatives, architects, writers, artists, anthropologists, ophthalmologists and a long etcetera that have made this work a compendium of diverse conversations and opinions with which to broaden our own.
All of them illuminated by Marset lamps, which are shown here as we've never seen them before, revealing themselves to the reader in surprising ways.
